— From Above —

Most people are introduced to aerial photography after spending much time with a camera in hand and two feet on the ground. You get used to seeing the world in ways that are limited by the places you can physically get yourself. At some point, as you look up towards the sky, you can’t help but wonder what would this place look like from above.

Having a set of wings in your bag, an entirely novel view of the world we live in begins to emerge. You launch the drone and fly high above the mountain range that surrounds; you pilot a course over the incredible vistas that belong to the desert, the sea, and everywhere in between. It is a privilege like none other to look down upon the planet we walk on. This collection aims to capture a unique view that we simply cannot see at ground level.

Every shot in this ever expanding collection has to abide by a simple rule: it must be taken from a drone that is looking straight down on the ground below it. You’ll see the planet we inhabit like you never have before: patterns, shapes, colors, textures that you won’t believe are real. Some of these even look like they could have been taken on the moon or another planet. But I assure you, every single one was taken right here on our beautiful planet.
